Sometimes an inserted picture needs to be cropped to remove certain unnecessary portions of the picture. Cropping removes these portions and also reduces the size of the picture, so it can fit nicely into your document. Cropping is easy to do this and it can drastically change the look of your document. Here’s how it’s done using the Picture Toolbar:
- First access your Picture Toolbar by clicking the “View” menu, then “Toolbars”, then “Picture”.
- Click the “Crop” button. Handles will appear around the picture and the mouse pointer will change to a cropping tool shape.
- Drag the Cropping handles until the picture is cropped how you want it.
- Click the Crop button again to turn off the cropping handles and cropping tool.
You now have a picture suited to your needs.
