Office 2007 tip: Hide the Ribbon

You can give yourself more room to work on any one of the Office 2007 applications with the Ribbon.

To hide the Ribbon, you can simply double-click any one of the Ribbon tabs. (Home, Insert, Page Layout etc...) Double-click the ribbon once again to make it appear.

Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F1.

Excel 2007 tip: Wrap Text

Excel 2007 makes it easy to get labels and heading to wrap within a cell.

  • Select the cell that contains the lengthy label or heading.

  • Click the Home Tab on the ribbon. Locate the Alignment group and click the Wrap Text command.


The cell height should automatically resize to accommodate the wrapped text in the cell.
