Kevin Gumienny MicroAssist Senior Learning ArchitectMicroAssist Senior Learning Architect, Kevin Gumienny, is presenting at the 20th Annual Training Expo 2016 in Austin, Texas as part of the track sponsored by E-Learning Council.

The topics for the E-Learning Council Sponsored Track are:

The Training Expo provides a forum for government employees involved in training and development to share ideas, resources and learning. The Governor’s Center for Management Development hosts the Expo in collaboration with the SACC Training and Development Committee and the Texas Department of Information Resources. Over 350 people registered for last year’s event, representing over 50 agencies and universities. You'll also find networking opportunities where you can meet colleagues and other professionals to discuss training and development issues and challenges.

Reaching New Audiences through Online Training

We often see training as an educational even such as learning an ethics policy or how to use a new computer program. But training can be much more than simple instruction. It can be a way to reach out to the public, a way to further a mission. And online training offers a breath and reach that in-person training can’t match. Join Kevin Gumienny as he discusses opportunities and challenges, the benefits and pitfalls, that come from using public-facing training as mission outreach. He’ll share what works and what doesn’t, what’s effective and what’s not, as learned through (occasionally painful) experience.
