Accessible Flash-Based Training

This project was to be created in Captivate 5.  As with all Flash-based tools, it can be challenging to make Captivate 5 accessible because of the way it interacts with assistive technologies.  By including closed-captioning for the narration, adding descriptive alt tags to each screen object, and lining up the screen objects in an intuitive reading order within the timeline, we were able to produce a course that can be used by all members of the audience, including those that have additional, assistive requirements.

At the beginning of online training we allow users to select accessibility options, if desired. Based on user selections, the training accommodates special needs.
