Course Description:

In this course, the student will become familiar with all aspects of Project Management Fundamentals.

Course Objective:

By the conclusion of this 1-day workshop, students will be able to:

  • Perform a project needs assessment and write goals, requirements, and deliverables
  • Create key project documents, including the Project Charter, Statement of Work, and Project Requirements Document
  • Understand and use the Work Breakdown Structure
  • Build a project schedule by estimating time, costs, and resources
  • Create project planning documents
  • Use planning tools, including the Gantt Chart, Network Diagram, and RACI chart
  • Create and use a Communication Plan, RACI Chart, and Risk Management Plan
  • Monitor and maintain the project
  • Perform basic management tasks, including leading status meetings and ensuring all documents are complete at the end of the project
  • Close out a project

This course is designed for anyone who is interested in project management.
