SQL Server Database Developer

The mission of the SQL Server Database Developer is to design and develop complex systems that will stand alone and be used in conjunction with C# development. The programmer will design and create database systems based on conceptual requirements.

The developer will optimize new and existing SQL based systems, work independently and in team environments and have a desire to continuously learn new development tools and software.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Efficiently create database solutions.
  • Provide database programming support and troubleshooting to multiple IT projects.
  • Design efficient databases, tables and indexes.
  • Create databases, tables and indexes.
  • Create stored procedures.
  • Work with Reporting Services.
  • Create and maintain applications that work with large volumes of data.
  • Ability to analyze Query Plans.
  • Monitor SQL Server.
  • Create Maintainable Code
  •      - Ability to write organized code that is readable by other people.
  •      - Must be able to anticipate future requirement / needs.
  • Understand and communicate system concepts quickly and accurately.
  • Learn new features of development tools and software.
  • Identify missing/invalid requirements and communicate those issues together.
  • Ability to think independently and identify when they have arrived at good conclusions.Need to know when to ask for help.
  • Must be able to see the maintenance and continued development aspects of a solution.
  • Document and maintain general instructional design policies and processes.
  • Identify performance and technology gaps and suggest implementation plans based on analysis.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Cross-train other employees on job function, where necessary.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports when requested.
  • Provide back-up support to other group members in the performance of job duties as necessary.

System Analyst/Developer

The Systems Analyst/Developer position requires a strong .NET C# application development background and is responsible for creating specifications based on contract requirements and customer face-to-face meetings.  In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting in the creation of use cases and documentation as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient on programming software applications with .NET, C#.
  • Experience working with Team Foundation Server a plus.
  • Proficient on using Visual Studio 2005.
  • Must posses an understanding of the application development lifecycle.
  • Development experience creating SQL queries required.
  • Development experience analyzing and creating data structures in Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
  • Development experience with XML desired.
  • Web service/SOA design and implementation desired.
  • Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical design and development projects. 
  • Must be a fast learner and self started. Be able to come up to speed on new applications and technology in a very short amount of time.
  • Must be details oriented, with strong analytical skills and problem solving skills.
  • High degree of self-motivation. Must be able to plan and execute work both independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks at once.

Must have a desire to learn and grow as a developer; reviewing, developing and proposing new design methods and techniques.

Training Salesperson

MicroAssist is seeking a Salesperson with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and a strong work ethic to increase sales for its Instructor-Led Training services.  This focused, driven, and highly energetic candidate with a passion for success serves as MicroAssist’s primary business contact for this division and is responsible for working with MicroAssist's Training Coordinator and driving sales.

Responsibilities

The highly motivated and driven individual must be a good listener, persistent, very organized and set and achieve personal goals consistent with MicroAssist’s strategic goals.  MicroAssist uses a consultative solution selling approach.  The position will require figuring out client needs, working with training experts to identify and propose training solutions.  The following are sample tasks required to be successful:

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Generate and develop leads in order to increase revenue, through cold calling and onsite visits and other lead generation activities.
  • Identify qualified clients and training opportunities within prospective organizations.
  • Establish relationships with senior level training managers and continuously update all clients on company services, events and programs.
  • Schedule appointments and meet top-level decision makers and clients in order to understand client needs, gather requirements and determine other opportunities.
  • Effectively plan and conduct sales presentations by meeting clients physically on daily basis and finding the right solutions to fit client needs.
  • Gather requirements, write proposals and provide training quotes to clients.
  • Effectively attend conferences and trade shows.
  • Participate in trade organizations, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Liaise between the company and clients for up-to-date condition on pricing, service and latest course offerings.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
  • Use marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.
  • Organize joint sales calls and conduct them with key MicroAssist personnel.
  • Prepare sales and marketing reports for management and maintaining expense accounts.
  • Perform client account updates and maintenance in customer relationship management database.
  • Ensure follow-up after passing leads to colleagues and managers with complete profile client information, calls-to-action, sources, dates.
  • Research new opportunities within targeted markets.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in creating new training opportunities.
  • Preferred successful experience in consultative sales.
  • Must have solution selling experience.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), consultative experience, and exceptional sales skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated with the ability to work self-directed in a team goal environment.
  • Extroverted people skills to assist clients.
  • Team player and able work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, evenings and weekends, according to job requirements to achieve goals.

Microsoft .NET/C# Analyst & Programmer

The Senior Software Engineer position will lead the design and development of software applications with Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL Server. In-depth knowledge and experience of application software development is required. Excellent design pattern and object oriented programming methodologies must be employed. Essential job responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as well.

  • Assist in the design and development of software applications with Microsoft .NET framework.
  • Respond to business requirements and technical specifications, and architect solutions with high performance.
  • Work with team members to deliver high quality products on time.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical design and development projects. 
  • Highly experienced in Object Oriented Programming.
  • Proficient on programming applications using .NET, C#.

Course Developer

MicroAssist is currently seeking a full time course developer to design, develop and populate custom E-Learning projects for our high-profile corporate, government and academic clients.  This person with a positive attitude will work with a team of Project Managers and Instructional Designers to rapidly deliver E-Learning solutions for the web.

We are looking for bright, dedicated, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professionals with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proven top-notch graphic design, content layout, and multimedia production skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with Project Managers and Instructional Designers to understand and define design and branding requirements.
  • Populate design templates in Lectora, Captivate or other development tools with online content provided by Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Design and/or select content specific graphics and illustrations.
  • Layout all graphics and content

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience building Lectora, Captivate or other E-Learning projects or custom online multimedia service projects in a production-oriented environment.
  • Experience building interactive instructional exercises.
  • Absolute attention to detail and high quality standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines under short lead times with changing priorities.
  • Capacity to work in a flexible, fast-paced, ever-evolving, positive environment.
  • Ability to work and contribute to a team environment, as well as work independently.
  • Knowledge of interactive and E-Learning technologies a plus.
  • Expertise in Lectora Publisher or Captivate tools, populating content into interactive slides, editing video clips, syncing audio and manipulating photos.
